Acupuncture
Acupuncture works by stimulating the flow of "Qi" throughout the body. Where there is injury, the energy of the body may become stagnant or deficient. The insertion of needles helps bring the body's awareness to the area and resume the free flow of energy.
Qi flows through a system of twelve major meridians. Each meridian is connected internally to a specific organ such as the heart, liver, etc. The acupuncture points along these pathways can be used to affect a corresponding internal organ.
Modern science explains that needling acupuncture points will stimulate the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord and brain. These chemicals will either change the experience of pain or trigger the release of additional hormones that influence the body's own internal regulating system.
The improved energy and biochemical balance produced by acupuncture stimulates the body's own natural healing ability. The ultimate result yields significant increases in a patients physical and emotional well-being.
Testimonials
"I have been seeing Kathryn since the early 2000's. I am a cancer patient and acupuncture helps me with anxiety, depression, pain management and neuropathy! I have had stage 4 breast cancer for 14 years and the complimentary treatments of acupuncture and massage and early on, yoga, have made my life worth living. These treatments add life to living."

Chinese Herbs
Herbal therapy, next to dietary therapy, is perhaps the most widely used Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment modality. TCM relies on herbal therapies both for the treatment of illness and in the optimization of health and prevention of disease.
Cupping
Cupping is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practice that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This practice dates back over 2,000 years but has received recent attention in the media due to its use by world-class athletes for injury relief.
The effect of suction on the skin helps increase blood flow and promotes healing.
Acupuncture Facial/ Facelift
Light facial cupping is used followed by tiny acupuncture needles made for the delicate skin on the face. Together, these therapies help with fine lines and skin tone for healthier and glowing skin.

Acupuncture Injection Therapy
Injection therapy works by injecting specific body zones or points with highly diluted natural products, the majority of which are derived from plants, in order to regulate inflammatory processes and support natural repair mechanisms. Most of these injections are given into the skin or muscles.
We also offer Ozone injections for acute and chronic pain.
